PopStroke Cedar Park
Tiger Woods-backed mini golf that feels less like windmills-and-clowns putt-putt and more like a tiny golf course—with cocktails delivered to the green.
What it’s really like
This is what Topgolf is to a driving range, but for putt-putt.
Instead of traditional obstacles, the two 18-hole courses are built to resemble real golf: contours, bunkers, rough and breaks that force you to think about speed and curve. It’s designed so a normal hole can take two or three putts—although good golfers can absolutely chase the one-putt bragging rights.
Jen is not particularly sporty, and sports dates do not always land with her. She still had a genuinely good time here. That matters: you can be competitive without needing to be a golfer.
Fun enough for the golfer. Accessible enough for the non-golfer.
The Cedar Park experience
We went on a Tuesday night and it was surprisingly packed. We were a twosome stuck between two groups of eight, which made the round much slower and louder than it needed to be. The challenging course seemed to attract roughly 80% of the crowd; the easier, ADA/stroller-accessible course looked like it would move much faster.
The Texas-heat setup was a big win: powerful fans and misters around the course made an outdoor summer activity manageable. You can also order drinks while you play and have them brought out to you. Service was upbeat and friendly, even though delivery could take a while when things got busy.
You can use the included putters and colored golf balls, or bring your own putter. The venue also uses screens/app technology for scoring and hole-in-one moments.
Food & drinks
There’s a full-service restaurant, sports bar, cocktails, beer, mocktails, ice cream and shakes. On our Tuesday visit, the Two for Tuesday deal—two entrées for $26—made dinner an easy add-on.

The biggest variable is crowd flow. With smaller groups around you, this could be a quick, lively date. Behind a big group, expect a much longer night. If you want the most relaxed version, choose an off-peak time and consider the easier course.
